The Demise of the Newspaper

Our generation is all about high speed Internet and smart phones with the newest applications to add, all which give you the fastest updates for your news. So where does that leave our old way of getting news, the newspaper? In the dust, that's where

The newspaper will soon be another nostalgic piece of the past that we will all look upon fondly. Since the newspaper was such a huge line of communication in its day, what does that say of our democracy now that we've left it to be a thing of the past? It reveals how far technology has come, and how we've adapted to it as a society.

Although technology has helped advance the world in a number of positive ways, it may not always be a good thing. Although producing newspapers was a lengthy and tedious process, it also gave time to help catch mistakes made by the journalists or the publication; however, with every piece of news needing to be released as fast as possible, more mistakes are made and those mistakes can have serious consequences.

Is it better then that we are leaving newspapers behind and advancing down the endless path of technology? We are, after all getting our information faster and easier; but then again, why do people always look upon "the good 'ole days" with such fondness?
